Miranda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Individualized Study from New York University’s Gallatin program and is passionate about covering the changemakers in her borough.

She is currently a freelance reporter covering Brooklyn news for sites including BK Reader and UP Magazine. Her previous work includes writing for VICE News, the Jerusalem Post, the Bushwick Daily, the Washington Square News and one year as an elementary school teacher 2020-2021.

Miranda grew up in Manhattan and Philadelphia and is now based in Brooklyn. She loves poetry, taking her dog to Fort Greene Park and playing the flute.

Pronouns are she/her and she was born in 1996.
